Adaptive Maui Volunteer Training
Our very first volunteer training!
Who:
This training is designed for those who wish to work with us in a very hands on way. You should be able to lift and carry some distance at least 50lbs. Because of the very limited capacity and the intensity of the training, we also ask that those who attend this training commit to at least 3 hrs of volunteer service over the next 6 months.
What:
This session is designed for our hands on, in the field adaptive assistant volunteers. Its very hands on. We will be training on the basics of accessibility culture, adaptive aids, equipment and more. We will have an expert panel to take questions and offer tips and insights into being the best adaptive assistant possible. We will be doing hands on practice with out equipment, making transfers and offering help. Participants in this training will need to be able to lift and carry 50lbs comfortably.
When:
August 31st 12pm (this session will last about 4 hrs- possibly more)

Adaptive Maui HQ- The Office Maui
